Line etching, aquatinting and chine colle

Ruth Berhhard is a photographer best know for her black and white studies of form and contrast. Many of her images focus on the human body. This etcher tried to emulate her eye and honor her imagery, however, the best of tries sometime go, not as planned. The original line image was etched into the plate successfully, but a second try in the acid attempting to add shading with aqua tinting failed! My nude appears to have freckles as does her surroundings. No one ever said creation of new work would be successful.
